I would like to take this opportunity to those few, faithful souls (mostly just Owen) who have found it in their hearts to continue to check my blog even though I have not been either updating it much or signed on to AIM so that you all can simply click a link within my profile.

Lately I've been doing nothing, which has been surprisingly fun. I've started basically volunter coaching in the mornings for my old club team, the Solon Stars. I've also helped my dad move into his new apartment in Washington, D.C. My assessment of D.C. is as follows:

First off, there are a ton of pluses about this city, not the least of which is the Metro. I know, a 22 year old talking about public transportation is frumpy, but whatever. Also, as I mentioned to Owen, I think that every immediate post-grad woman with a poli-sci major comes here to get their first job in a national office, shake their ass, and get hammered at bars.

In the negative categories, it seems that there's so much national / federal influence here that this area has lost any regional character it may have once had. There are not many quirky places that haven't become overy touristy. This is of course my bullshit two cents opinion, but it matters to me anyways.

So hey, much love to you all (or those of you who check here anymore anyways).
